Project Title: Wapiimoostoosis Healing Centre
Project Description:
The project is residential and traditional in nature. It will
address holistic healing by offering/conducting traditional teachings
that are consistent with First Nation healing practices that reflect
the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical components of the
holistic model, and incorporating Aboriginal and mainstream healing
approaches. The project will utilize traditional
respected Elders from the Treaty IV area which include the Cree,
Ojibway, Saulteaux, Dakota, Nakota, and Lakota Nations, The project will also develop an after care follow-up program.
