Title: Provincial Residential School Project Response Plan (PRSP)
Project Description:
The project will provide information to Survivors about the recovery
process from Residential Schools and will assist Survivors through a
self assessment process to develop a treatment plan specific to their
healing needs.
The project will provide individual counselling and referrals to other longer term counselling resources and will assist communities in developing Survivor support groups to continue their healing journeys.
The project will provide Therapeutic Enactment, a trauma recovery model, to assist Survivors in dealing with the Legacy of Physical and Sexual Abuse in Residential Schools.
The project will provide training to Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal front line workers to build their capacity to provide therapy to Residential School Survivors.
