Title: Empowering Our Community
Project Description:
The Empowering Our Community project proposes to continue to provide
and facilitate holistic healing opportunities to individuals and
families affected by the residential school experience through both
Native Traditional Healing methods and the Roman Catholic Faith by:
providing community awareness of healing strategies, offering
individual and family assessments and counselling, offering a four day
family retreat, conducting a one week youth wilderness retreat,
developing and offering support groups for men, women and youth, family
reconciliation workshops, church and community reconciliation
workshops, and conducting community awareness workshops on the impacts
of the Legacy and workshops on healing.
