Title: Fort Providence Residential School Healing Project
Project Description:
The project will strengthen the personal functional skills of
Residential School Survivors to be able to heal from Sexual Abuse,
spiritual deprivation and cultural deprivation experienced in
Residential Schools. Survivors and Intergenerationally Impacted people
will begin to take on their responsibilities and roles as active
contributing participants in their communities and societies at large.
Project activities will include counselling, support groups and support visits. The project will provide workshops that, in conjunction with the counselling, will provide participants with the tools to address the Legacy of Physical and Sexual Abuse in Residential Schools.
