Project Title:
Wapekeka First Nation Healing Journey
Project Description:
The
Wapekeka First Nation Healing Journey project will provide in-house
Outreach healing services using local resources and visiting Mental
Health workers; training and materials to the Local Resource Team on
early detection and Intervention Strategies; training and awareness
workshops for the Resource Team and/or frontline workers in the areas
of sexual, physical, emotional and economic abuse in families.
To
establish and maintain structured healing and sharing circle groups;
on-the-land programming for all target groups in promoting life and
survivor skills; and In-house Counselling services and healing
strategies for families affected by Residential School Legacy.
