Project Title:
Projet Sikon - Renaissance
Project Description:
The
project wants to continue raising awareness on the Legacy of Physical
and Sexual Abuse and its Intergenerational Impacts. They will provide
healing activities using mainstream and traditional methods; hold joint
meetings between Youth and their parents to address the
Intergenerational Impacts. An eight-day healing program in a natural setting will be offered for eighty
elementary and secondary students and their parents. This healing
program will be offered on an on going basis, each quarter. The post-therapy program will
consolidate and will integrate the acquired skills of the therapy. The
program will use family therapy, systemic approach, holistic approach
and healing circles.
