Project Title: Healing the Family Circle
Project Description:
The project will provide one-on-one counselling and group healing
sessions to residents of the Makitautik Community Residential Centre to
address issues that they face as a result of the Legacy of Physical and
Sexual Abuse in Residential Schools. The counselling and group sessions
will focus on, but not be limited to, physical abuse, sexual abuse,
family violence, drugs and alcohol abuse, Residential School trauma,
self-esteem and self-care.
