Project Title:
Discovering the Potential of Our Youth
Project Description:
The
project intends to address the healing needs of
Survivors/Intergenerationally Impacted through mainstream and
traditional healing methods such as one-on-one counselling,
healing/talking circles with Elders, advocacy, liaison with other
service links, day with relevant professionals for the purpose of
potential career interest, assessment needs (ie. addictions,
incarceration and psychological), educational assessment (ADD, FAS, FAE
etc.), Inner Child (visiting the past, living with residential school
survivors, generation), life skills sessions (anger management;
assertiveness, rage identity, foster care effects, etc.), involving the
Community (Sentencing Circles, Youth Committees, etc.), and FSIN (First
Nations Youth Education Processes); and recreational programming.
